Meet Luna- Our School Dog
We are delighted to introduce Luna, our gentle and kind Sproodle, born in December 2020, who has quickly become a much-loved member of our school community.
Having a dog in school brings a wide range of benefits for children. Luna helps to create a calm and nurturing environment; supports emotional wellbeing; and encourages positive social interactions. Whether she is offering a distraction first thing in the morning, quiet moment of comfort or joining in with reading sessions, Luna’s presence has a great effect on pupils and staff alike.
To ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing, we have thorough risk assessments, health and safety checks, and safeguarding procedures in place. Luna is carefully supervised and only interacts with children in structured, supported settings.
