Limpsfield C.E. Infant School

St Peter's Church

Rev. Helen

Message from Rev. Helen Cook:

It is a great joy to have close connections between the school and St. Peter’s church, which are both in their own way at the heart of our beautiful village.

We are always delighted to welcome the children into the church throughout the year and especially for the major Christian festivals of Christmas, Easter and Harvest.

Every Tuesday either myself or Jane Tozer, who has had links with the school for many years and is also a qualified teacher, lead a whole school Collective Worship. In this we focus on Bible stories and teachings and the children particularly enjoy interactive nature of the story telling! I also aim to be in school at other times, focusing on Christian teaching in the classroom.

In all this we aim to uphold and promote the distinctive Christian ethos of the school and give the children a sure understanding of Christian faith and the teachings of Jesus.

  • Weekly Collective Worship: Clergy lead collective worship, bringing biblical stories and values to life.
  • Pastoral Support: Clergy offer pastoral care to staff, pupils, and families, especially during times of need or transition.
  • Community Acts of Kindness: Pupils create care packages, cards, or artwork for local care homes, hospitals, or food banks.
